Paper Sizing

Paper sizing is the process used during paper manufacture to reduce its tendency to absorb liquids, improving its surface strength, printability, dimensional stability and water / humidity resistance.

This is achieved by curbing the paper fibers’ tendency to absorb liquids by capillary action. It decrease its porosity and promote the forming of a surface bond which prevent the paper blurring with water or ink.
