Polyterpene Resins
These resins are food grade polyterpene thermoplastic resin with a pale color. They are quite resistant to the aging, UV and thermally stable because of copolymerization of alpha and beta pinene.
Polyterpene resins, are specially processed to avoid the presence of volatile compounds, which enable their neutral odor and taste, that is particularly suitable for use in chewing gum compositions as softener agent, with superior performance.
However, due their excellent tack, thermal resistance and compatibility, these resins are also highly recommended to be used as a tackifier in thermoplastic based adhesive systems.
They are compatible with most common materials such a, SIS, SBR, natural rubber, butyl rubber, hydrocarbon resins, etc and soluble in aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents.
Our resins meet the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21 CFR, under the following sections: 172.615; 175.105; 175.125; 175.300; 175.320; 175.380; 175.390; 176.170; 176.180; 177.1200; 177.1210; 177.1400; 177.2600.
