Maleic Modified Pentaerythritol Ester of Gum Rosin


This type of rosins are obtained by Diels-Alder reaction of maleic anhydride and esterified with pentaerythritol. They are hard resins and more polar than the straight rosin esters.
Common uses are inks, varnishes and fruit polishing.
