Glycerol Ester of Gum Rosin/Wood Rosin

Glycerol esters of Gum rosin/ Wood rosin are obtained by esterifying rosin with glycerol at high temperature.

These rosin derivatives have higher softening point, lower acid value and higher thermal resistance when compared to the straight rosins.

These kind of Rosin esters are used as tackifier in adhesives (water based, solvent based and hot melts), depilatory waxes, road marking paints, chewing gum base, softeners and weighing agent in beverage industry.
