Disproportionated Gum Rosin
Disproportionated gum rosin is a thermoplastic resin obtained by distillation of pine oleoresin–steam and modified by action of heat and catalysts to decrease the abietic acid content present in the natural Gum rosin.
These resins are compatible with most well known compounds such as, EVA polymers, SIS, SBR, natural rubber, butyl rubber, hydrocarbon and terpene resins.
They are soluble in aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents, esters and ketones.
Disproportionated Gum Rosin main applications are rubber polymerization, marine paints, paper sizing and some special adhesives that needs UV resistance.
